Possibilities of producing solid bricks from mixtures of plastic brick clay and fly ash
Abstract
The paper briefly reviews results of laboratory testing performed in order to establish the possibility of adopting the process of production of solid bricks from plastic clay and fly ash. The experimental results substantiated the possibility of producing high quality solid bricks from these raw materials by the procedure of semi dry forming and firing in brick. making plants. In this way, fly ash from thermoelectric power plant, which is an industrial waste, could be valorized as raw material for production of solid bricks and it would minimize environmental pollution of human environment.
