AB  - The paper shows the comparative analysis of behavior and bearing capacity of piles examined using the Dynamic Load Test (DLT) according to Static Load Test (SLT) results. The pile testing methodology is based on the existing ASTM standards and experiences of the authors of the paper. The pile tests were carried out using counterweights, reactive system, dynamic testing equipment, hardware and software for SLT and DLT. The data obtained by testing were statis-tically processed, and also a regression analysis of the linear function was conducted, resulting in the creation of the model for the change of mobilized static bearing capacity from DLT according to SLT. In addition, a procedure for correcting the solution of mobilized static bearing capacity from DLT according to SLT, is made by observing provisions of standard EN 1997-1:2004, so the average deviation of solutions from DLT according to SLT is reduced. Apart from that, through iterations, the value of correlation factor ξ5 is determined, taking into consideration solutions presented by SLT and DLT of piles of the real structures.

Dispersive Soils: Properties, Identification, Classification and Stabilization

AB  - The application of dispersive soil can result in various types of damage, and even the collapse of embanked build-ings if it is not identified. Dispersive soils cannot be uniquely identified by visual identification in the field, or by usual standard methods used for soil identification in the geo-mechanical laboratory. The paper presents the results of laboratory geomechanical tests aimed at identifying and classifying erodible dispersive fine-grained soil. The tests were carried out using the crumb test, the double hydrometer test (SCS), and the pinhole test on samples: sandy clay embankment dams of ‘Rovni’, loess from different locations (Zemun, Novi Beograd, Titel, Kelebija, Srbobran, Slanka-men, Ruma, Mali Iđoš) and kaolinite sandy clay deposits Grabež - Aranđelovac. The possibility of improving disper-sive soil by adding fly ash was also analyzed. Pinhole tests on dispersive soil samples with the addition of 10, 30 and 50 % ash showed that there was a decrease in dispersivity of natural soil for one to two dispersion classes.

AB  - Bipedal models for walkers, originally developed in the research field of biomechanics,
have been identified as potential candidates for modelling pedestrians in structural engineering
applications. These models provide insight into both the kinetics and kinematics of walking locomotion and are considered to have a significant potential to improve the vibration serviceability
assessment of civil engineering structures. Despite this notion, the ability of the bipedal models to
represent the key features of the walking gait and natural variability within the pedestrian population are still under-researched. This paper critically evaluates the performance of two bipedal models with rigid legs to realistically both reproduce key features of an individual pedestrian’s walking gait and represent a wide range of individuals. The evaluation is performed for walking on a rigid, rather than vibrating, structure due to the availability of experimental data and expectation that successful modelling on rigid surfaces is a necessary condition for progressing towards modelling on the vibrating structures. Ready-to-use equations are provided and the ability of the models to represent the kinematics and kinetics of individual pedestrians as well as the inter-subject variability typical of the human population is critically evaluated. It was found that the two models could generate realistic combinations of the gait parameters and their correlations, but are less successful in reproducing genuine kinetic and kinematics profiles.

Komparativna analiza ispitivanja požarnootpornih vrata prema srpskim standardima

AB  - Prilikom zaštite zgrada od požara neophodno je podeliti objekte na požarne sektore.
Kako ne bi došlo do prenosa vatre iz jednog požarnog sektora u drugi, potrebno je ugraditi
požarnootporna vrata. Sva ugrađena požarnootporna vrata moraju da poseduju dokaz o
otpornosti prema požaru, čija se vrednost dobija ispitivanjem u akreditovanoj laboratoriji.
Ispitivanje može da se izvrši prema dva standarda: SRPS U.J1.160 iz 1988. godine, kao i SRPS
EN 1634-1 iz 2018. godine.
U radu je predstavljena komparativna analiza između dva standarda u kojima su dati uslovi u
peći, način ugradnje uzorka, oprema koja se koristi za ispitivanje, kao i vrednost za otpornost
prema požaru. Standard SRPS EN 1634-1 mnogo detaljnije opisuje način ugradnje, postavljane
termoparova, proces ispitivanja, kao i vrednost za otpornost prema požaru u odnosu kako je to
dato u SRPS U.J1.160.

AB  - This paper formulates a mathematical model using the extrapolation of load-settlement curves with a rational function for analyzing the capacity of piles obtained from the static load test (SLT). In preliminary analyses, the extrapolation was based on the application of a number of mathematical functions that were gradually eliminated by iterative selection and filtering. The solution was obtained by extrapolation with a rational function. Using a rational function in the extrapolation of the load-settlement curve, a clearly identifiable part is obtained in which the asymptote is vertical, indicating the reached limit state of capacity in the soil and/or in the pile. The probabilistic analysis showed that no unique value for pile capacity was obtained, and that the spectrum of capacity values depends on the probability of occurrence of the corresponding event.

Numerical model of fluid-structure interaction for water tower analysis of vibrations

AB  - This paper deals with the aspects of vibration analysis of 3D numerical water tower models with the explicitly generated 3D finite element (FE) solid fluid model that simulates the fluid-structure interaction (FSI). The development and implementation of the 3D FE solid fluid model in modelling and analysing the system response is extremely important, both in terms of determining the impulsive and convective hydrodynamic pressure, and in terms of overall sizing of the water tower. Vibration of the water tower is calculated based on the analysis of its eigenvibrations, analysis of eigenvibrations occurring when charging and discharging the water tower reservoir (SFA - Staged Fluid Analysis), Steady-State Analysis (SSA) in the frequency domain and the analysis of the system response in the time domain (THA - Time History Analysis), followed by the transformation of the frequency domain response using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The analysis of eigenvalues using the Ritz vectors (Ritz analysis) and the Power Spectral Density Analysis (PSDA) are carried out as the means of additional control and with the purpose of identifying vibration periods. The system's stiffness matrix and mass matrix are corrected using the 3D FE solid fluid model for analysing the water tower vibrations. Effects of the system's increasing vibration period are determined for the partially charged reinforced concrete (RC) water tower reservoir, given the strong action of the fluid mass that is excited for convective hydrodynamic action (sloshing) due to the water tower dimensions and the amount of fluid contained in the reservoir in this case.

AB  - U radu su prikazani karakteristični primeri ispitivanja integriteta šipova sa analizom rezultata, pri čemu se metodologija ispitivanja oslanja na postojeće ASTM standarde, ali i na metodologiju ispitivanja prikazanu u naučnom radu "Ispitivanje integriteta i nosivosti šipova: metodologija i klasifikacija", koji je publikovan u ovom časopisu. Ispitivanja šipova sprovedena su primenom licenciranih oprema za test integriteta šipa sa senzorom (SIT) i test integriteta šipa sa sondama (CSL). Ispitivanjima su prikazane korektne i problematične situacije, koje se pojavljuju prilikom analize integriteta šipova. Ukazano je na aspekte primene talasne teorije, ali i na procesiranja signala i numeričke analize. Takođe, posebno je skrenuta pažnja na potrebu izrade plana ispitivanja integriteta šipova kod objekata s velikim brojem šipova.
AB  - The paper presents typical examples of pile integrity testing and the results analysis, whereby the testing methodology relies on existing ASTM standards, as well as on the testing methodology presented in the scientific paper Pile Integrity and Load Testing: Methodology and Classification, published in this journal. The pile tests were conducted using licensed equipment for Sonic Integrity Test (SIT) and Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL). The tests have shown the correct and problematic situations that arise when analyzing pile integrity. Some aspects of the wave theory implementation, but also of signal processing and numerical analysis have been indicated. Also, the need to develop a plan for testing the integrity of piles in structures with a large number of piles has been emphasized.

AB  - U radu su prikazane metodologija i klasifikacija ispitivanja integriteta i nosivosti šipova, u saglasnosti sa važećim inostranim standardima, ali i sa sopstvenim definisanim segmentima unapređivanja standarda i sopstvenim definicijama određenih ključnih elemenata. Klasifikacija je sprovedena po tipovima testova u kojima su jasno definisani: tok ispitivanja šipova, metode analize i obrade rezultata ispitivanja. Pored osnovne podele testova ispitivanja šipova na testove integriteta i testove nosivosti, dodatno je definisana i grupa testova kontrole bušotine kod bušenih šipova, s obzirom na to što je za pravilno formiranje bušotine, kada je reč o bušenim šipovima, neophodno prethodno ispuniti određene kvalitativno- kvantitativne kriterijume. Ovako prikazane metodologija i klasifikacija ispitivanja integriteta i nosivosti šipova prvenstveno služe za edukativne svrhe inženjera građevine i geotehnike koji se bave ovom problematikom, da dodatno donese novine na ovom polju ispitivanja i da dodatno pojasne sve elemente ispitivanja, budući da se u praksi vrlo često susreću protivrečna mišljenja i nesuglasice oko detalja ispitivanja.
AB  - The paper presents the methodology and classification of pile integrity and load testing, in compliance with current foreign standards, as well as our own defined segments of standard improvement and our own definitions of certain key elements. The classification has been conducted according to the test types which clearly define the pile testing process, analysis methods, and test results processing. Beside the basic division of pile testing to integrity tests and load tests, there is also an additionally defined group of shaft control tests in the case of bored piles, since for the proper shaft formation, when it comes to bored piles, certain qualitative-quantitative criteria must be fulfilled beforehand. Presented in this way, the methodology and classification of pile integrity and load tests serves, primarily, an educational purpose for civil and geotechnics engineers who deal with this issue, to additionally introduce innovations in this field of testing and clarify all the elements of the testing since contradictory opinions and disagreements regarding the testing details are quite common in practice.

Analiza povredljivosti i pouzdanosti interakcije tlo -šip -stub most

AB  - U radu je prikazana procedura evaluacije seizmičkih performansi interakcije šip-tlo inkrementalnom nelinearnom dinamičkom analizom (INDA -Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis). Ulazni signal u sistemu je tretiran preko generisanih veštačkih akcelerograma, a koji su dodatno procesirani po slojevima tla do osnovne stene. Postprocesiranje INDA analiza izvršeno je posebno za stub, a posebno za šip, tako da su konstruisane krive PGA=f(DR) u kapacitativnom domenu. Za ovako konstruisane krive određeni su performansni nivoi, a na osnovu određenih DR i PGA parametara sprovedene su regresione analize. Krive povredljivosti su konstruisane na osnovu rešenja regresione analize i teorije verovatnoće log-normalne raspodele. Takođe, konstruisane su i krive pouzdanosti na osnovu rešenja analize povredljivosti. Metodološki postupak za analizu seizmičkih performansi, prezentovan u ovom istraživanju, omogućava integrisano kvantitativno-kvalitativno razmatranje i evaluaciju kompleksne interakcije konstrukcija-tlo (SFSI -Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction).
AB  - The purpose of this paper is to present the methodology for performance-based seismic evaluation of soil-pile-bridge pier interaction using the incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis (INDA). The system's input signal was treated through the generated artificial accelerograms which were subsequently processed by soil layers and for the bedrock. The INDA analysis was post processed separately for the pier and for the pile, so that the constructed PGA=f(DR) curves are in the capacitive domain. For these curves the authors identified the performance levels, while the regression analyses were conducted based on the specific DR and PGA parameters. Fragility curves were constructed based on the solutions of regression analysis and the probability theory of log-normal distribution. Based on the results of fragility analysis, reliability curves were also constructed. The methodological procedure for seismic performance analysis presented in this study provides an integrated quantitative-qualitative consideration and evaluation of the complex soil-foundation-structure interaction (SFSI).

Pregled savremenih seizmičkih analiza i načina uvođenja prigušenja u njima

AB  - Autori rada su, na osnovu analize velikog broja naučnih radova, dali prikaz sopstvene originalne sistematizacije seizmičkih analiza konstrukcija, a veliki deo njih je razvijen u poslednje dve decenije. Seizmičke analize su klasifikovane generalno u dve (četiri) grupe: linearne i nelinearne statičke analize; i linearne i nelinearne dinamičke analize. Posebno su klasifikovane analize nelinearnog seizmičkog odgovora konstrukcija, a posebno analize ciljnog pomeranja kojim se definiše odnos seizmičkog zahteva i seizmičkog odgovora. S druge strane, klasifikacija je sprovedena i u funkciji da li se nelinearan odgovor sistema dobija primenom inkrementalno-iterativnih procedura ili primenom poluiterativnih i/ili poluinkrementalnih procedura. Nelinearne dinamičke analize su klasifikovane prema konceptu matematičke formulacije, odnosno da li se zasnivaju na samo jednoj dinamičkoj analizi, većem broju dinamičkih analiza ili dobijaju rešenja u kombinaciji s drugim metodama. Primenom sprovedene sistematizacije seizmičkih analiza može se vrlo efikasno razmotriti koji tip analize je optimalan za analizu konstrukcija i koji tip analize je potrebno uzeti u obzir u fazi preliminarnih i finalnih analiza za naučna istraživanja i stručne projekte. U radu su, takođe, prikazani aspekti modeliranja prigušenja u analizi konstrukcija sistematizacijom tipova prigušenja i formiranim dijagramima tokova, a u zavisnosti od tipa primenjene analize: linearne i nelinearne, statičke i dinamičke. Sistematizacija prigušenja je sprovedena prema načinu uvođenja u proračun i to preko prigušenja materijala, prigušenja elemenata veze i prigušenja koja se direktno uvode u analize, a koje se sprovode u kapacitativnom, vremenskom i frekventnom domenu. Primenom razvijenih dijagrama tokova, u procesu kreiranja numeričkih modela konstrukcija, može se vrlo efikasno razmotriti koji tip prigušenja treba odabrati i na koji način uvesti prigušenje u analizu konstrukcija. Takođe, primenom razvijenih dijagrama tokova mogu se definisati i alternativni pristupi uvođenja prigušenja u analizu konstrukcija.
AB  - The authors of the paper, on the basis of the analysis of a large number of scientific papers, presented their original systematization of seismic analyses of structures, where a large number of them were developed during the last twenty years. Seismic analyses are generally classified into two (four) groups: Linear Static Analyses (LSA) and Nonlinear Static Analyses (NSA), and Linear Dynamic Analyses (LDA) and Nonlinear Dynamic Analyses (NDA). The analyses of nonlinear seismic structural response were classified separately from the Target Displacement Analyses (TDA) which defines the relationship of the seismic demand and seismic response. On the other hand, classification was also conducted depending on whether a nonlinear response of the system is obtained by the implementation of incremental-iterative procedures or by implementation of semi-iterative and/or semi-incremental procedures. NDA were classified according to the concept of mathematical formulation, i.e. whether they are based on only one dynamic analysis, several dynamic analyses or they are solved in combination with other methods. By implementing the conducted systematization of seismic analyses, one can efficiently consider which type of analysis is optimal for structural analysis and which type of analysis should be taken into account in the phase of preliminary and final analyses in the course of scientific research and professional projects. This paper also presents the aspects of damping modelling in structural analysis through the systematization of damping types and flowcharts, depending on the type of analysis applied: linear and nonlinear, static and dynamic. Damping has been systematized based on the way it was introduced into calculations, i.e. over material damping, link element damping and damping directly introduced into the analyses which are conducted in capacitive, time and frequency domains. In the process of creating numerical structural models, the type of damping and the way of its introduction into structural analysis can be very efficiently selected by applying the flow charts developed. By applying the developed flowcharts, alternative approaches to the introduction of damping into structural analysis can also be defined.

Sistematizacija prigušenja je sprovedena prema načinu uvođenja u proračun i to preko prigušenja materijala, prigušenja elemenata veze i prigušenja koja se direktno uvode u analize, a koje se sprovode u kapacitativnom, vremenskom i frekventnom domenu. Primenom razvijenih dijagrama tokova, u procesu kreiranja numeričkih modela konstrukcija, može se vrlo efikasno razmotriti koji tip prigušenja treba odabrati i na koji način uvesti prigušenje u analizu konstrukcija. Takođe, primenom razvijenih dijagrama tokova mogu se definisati i alternativni pristupi uvođenja prigušenja u analizu konstrukcija., The authors of the paper, on the basis of the analysis of a large number of scientific papers, presented their original systematization of seismic analyses of structures, where a large number of them were developed during the last twenty years. Seismic analyses are generally classified into two (four) groups: Linear Static Analyses (LSA) and Nonlinear Static Analyses (NSA), and Linear Dynamic Analyses (LDA) and Nonlinear Dynamic Analyses (NDA). The analyses of nonlinear seismic structural response were classified separately from the Target Displacement Analyses (TDA) which defines the relationship of the seismic demand and seismic response. On the other hand, classification was also conducted depending on whether a nonlinear response of the system is obtained by the implementation of incremental-iterative procedures or by implementation of semi-iterative and/or semi-incremental procedures. NDA were classified according to the concept of mathematical formulation, i.e. whether they are based on only one dynamic analysis, several dynamic analyses or they are solved in combination with other methods. By implementing the conducted systematization of seismic analyses, one can efficiently consider which type of analysis is optimal for structural analysis and which type of analysis should be taken into account in the phase of preliminary and final analyses in the course of scientific research and professional projects. This paper also presents the aspects of damping modelling in structural analysis through the systematization of damping types and flowcharts, depending on the type of analysis applied: linear and nonlinear, static and dynamic. Damping has been systematized based on the way it was introduced into calculations, i.e. over material damping, link element damping and damping directly introduced into the analyses which are conducted in capacitive, time and frequency domains. In the process of creating numerical structural models, the type of damping and the way of its introduction into structural analysis can be very efficiently selected by applying the flow charts developed. By applying the developed flowcharts, alternative approaches to the introduction of damping into structural analysis can also be defined.",

AB  - A probabilistic concept for determining pile bearing capacity is presented, taking into account the variability of CPT test parameters and methodology of calculation according to the requirements of Eurocode 7 (EN 1997-1: 2004). Based on a single initial (real) CPT test, a larger number of generated (simulation) CPT tests are introduced drawn from solutions of statistics and probability theory. Research has found that the best solutions are achieved using the DA 2 design approach for n(CPT) > 10 tests. Taking into account the deterministic and probabilistic approach in the analysis of pile bearing capacity, it is found that for the DA 2 design approach, the ratio of pile bearing capacity obtained from simulation and the capacity as determined through three methods (Mazurkiewicz, Van der Veen and hyperbolic approximation) is Rcd, /Pu = 1.148. Using the reliability index, the following values of partial resistance factors are obtained: λ, s /P 1.1, λ, b /P 1.1, which also points to the DA 2 design approach.

AB  - The paper presents a multidisciplinary approach to the assessment of seismic performances based on the Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering (PBEE), taking into account the multi-criteria optimization theory in analyzing the priority methods for bridge rehabilitation/strengthening. One bridge model was subjected to nonlinear static pushover analyses (NSPA), target displacement analyses using the spectrum capacity method (CSM), vulnerability analyses, and reliability analyses, while for a damaged bridge, in addition to be considered using the above methods, was also analyzed using the VIKOR method of multi criteria optimization. Seismic performances were determined based on monitoring the system's plastification and analyzing the relevant parameters for the level of target displacement, such as target displacement, total shear force, spectral displacement, spectral acceleration, vibration period, damping and ductility. The phases of damage were considered using the probabilistic analysis of vulnerability and reliability: slight, moderate, extensive and complete, as a function of system ductility.

Process parameters influence on microstructural properties of hypereutectic al-18wt% Si alloys obtained by rheocasting process

AB  - Hypereutectic Al-18wt%Si alloy was obtained by conventional and rheocasting procedure at cooling rate 0.16 +/- 0.05 degrees Cs-1. Samples of rheocasted alloy were obtained at two stirring speeds 1000 and 1500 rpm. Tests showed that two major changes of microstructural properties of rheocasting alloy, in comparison with conventional alloy, are change of dendrite morphology into nondendrite one and change of primary phases size (alpha-Al and Si). Both changes of primary particles were monitored in area near the stirrer and at a small distance from the crucible wall. Test showed that sizes of primary, alpha-Al particles decreased with stirring speed increment, while roundness of particles increased with stirring speed increment. Stirring speed change led to different degree of primary Si particles agglomeration. At stirring speed 1000 rpm, Si particles are uniformly distributed, while at speed 1500 rpm, a tendency to form clusters is more expressed. Test results were discussed on basis of utilizing fragmentation-agglomeration mechanism of primary phase evolution in a semi-solid melt, which may contribute to explanation of semi-solid structure development.

AB  - The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of various process parameters on the microstructure of composite materials based on alloys All 8Wt%Si with the addition of 10Wt%SiC. The effect of stirring speed (1000 and 1500 rpm), stirring time 15 min and casting temperature 565 degrees C on the structural and mechanical properties are discussed. It was found that applying the stirring speed of 1500 rpm in semisolid state the best distribution of SiC particles in the matrix was achieved, which gave satisfying mechanical properties. In order to evaluate the quality of obtained composites and their possible application in the practice, tests were carried out under conditions of cavitation. Cavitation damage to the composite samples was determined using modified vibratory cavitation equipment. Mass loss and surface analysis of composite samples during the experiment were used as an indicator the level of cavitation damage. The results showed very good cavitation resistance which gives the possibility of using these materials in condition where cavitation resistance is needed.

AB  - Cilj rada je bio da se na osnovu nekadašnjih i najnovijih rezultata ispitivanja karaktera granodiorita ležišta "Brajkovac" pronađu neke novije mogućnosti njegove primene. Dosadašnja ispitivanja granodiorita iz ovog ležišta pružila su potvrdu njegove upotrebljivosti u oblasti građavinarstva i arhitekture [1] [2]. Pored već postojeće primene u oblasti građevinarstva i arhitekture, granodiorit ovog ležišta može naći svoju primenu (za oblaganja) kao ukrasni kamen, zatim za izradu manjih ukrasnih predmeta u kombinaciji sa metalom, ali i za proizvodnju ploča od veštačkog ukrasnog kamena gde bi se koristili otpaci - sitniji delovi granodiorita. Posebnom tehnologijom i obradom, uz dodatak veziva, nekog punila mogle bi se proizvoditi ploče različite veličine, oblika i željenog izgleda. Pojedine firme u svetu već koriste tehnologije za izradu ploča i predmeta od veštačkog kamena koji je dobijen korišćenjem prirodnog kamena. Poznato je da se na bazi prirodnog bazalta dobija veštački liveni bazalt željene strukture i karakteristika za raznovrsnu namenu.
AB  - The main objective of this paper is to find new possibilities for the utilisation of granodiorite from the deposit Brajkovac on the basis of both former and latest investigation results. Previous investigations of granodiorite from this deposit confirmed the viability of its use in building industry [1 ], [2 ]. Apart from its current application in building industry the granodiorite from this deposit may be also used for overlying as ornamental stone and for the production of smaller decorative objects in combination with metal parts. Finer particles or leftovers of granodiorite may also be used for the production artificial ornamental stone by introducing fillers as binding agents to manufacture tiles and panels of different sizes, shapes and features. Presently, some companies in the world are already applying the technology for the production of artificial stone from waste-stone material. Namely, the technology for the production of artificially made basalt casts from naturally- occurred basalt rock is already well-known and applied for the production of a series of objects of desired structure and features, and for different purposes.

Poznato je da se na bazi prirodnog bazalta dobija veštački liveni bazalt željene strukture i karakteristika za raznovrsnu namenu., The main objective of this paper is to find new possibilities for the utilisation of granodiorite from the deposit Brajkovac on the basis of both former and latest investigation results. Previous investigations of granodiorite from this deposit confirmed the viability of its use in building industry [1 ], [2 ]. Apart from its current application in building industry the granodiorite from this deposit may be also used for overlying as ornamental stone and for the production of smaller decorative objects in combination with metal parts. Finer particles or leftovers of granodiorite may also be used for the production artificial ornamental stone by introducing fillers as binding agents to manufacture tiles and panels of different sizes, shapes and features. Presently, some companies in the world are already applying the technology for the production of artificial stone from waste-stone material. Namely, the technology for the production of artificially made basalt casts from naturally- occurred basalt rock is already well-known and applied for the production of a series of objects of desired structure and features, and for different purposes.",
