Influence of increased temperature on clay fast drying process

AB  - In this paper are presented testing results during process of fast drying at conditions of increased temperature. Three different masonry raw materials were examined using recircular laboratory dryer with air recirculation. It is concluded that samples containing more clay minerals and having better bind qualities are appropriate for increased temperature fast drying appliance. Raw materials which do not belong to the mentioned group can not be used in these processes, even in the case of slower drying regime, although their both physical and mechanical (technological) characteristics do not refer to such behavior.

AB  - U radu je u kratkim crtama dat prikaz savremenih teorijskih postavki o koroziji i destrukciji opekarskih proizvoda u zidanim konstrukcijama. U principu korozija opekarskih proizvoda u zidanim konstrukcijama povezana je sa prodorom vode odnosno vlage u zidanu konstrukciju. Do oštećenja i degradacije opekarskih materijala u zidanim štićenim i neštićenim konstrukcijama u toku eksploatacije može doći usled: odvijanja hemijskih reakcija vode sa nekim od konstituenata u keramičkom materijalu; usled rastvaranja pojedinih konstituenata u porama materijala, hidratacionih i kristalizacionih pritisaka i kao posledica sprečenog širenja opekarskih proizvoda u zidanim konstrukcijama usled odvijanja fenomena vlažnog širenja. .
AB  - In this paper the review has been given on the theoretical foundations of corrosion and destruction of the brick products in masonry. In principle corrosion of the brick products are connected with the penetration of water, that is, moisture in masonry. The appearing of corrosion and destruction of brick products in protected and unprotected masonry constructions can be the result of dissolution of soluble salts, hydrating and crystallizing pressures and a result of restrained expansion of bricks body in walls caused by moisture expansion phenomenon. .
